30 September is the death anniversary of Hanoi Hannah. While her Wikipedia page says a lot, I do not know much of her apart from her radio broadcasts during the Vietnam war. The broadcasts reportedly didn't have a major ill effect on soldiers, but they hold true irrespective of the era we live in. Wars aren't very different...

GI, your government has abandoned you. They have ordered you to die. Don't trust them. They lied to you, GIs. You know you cannot win this war.

Defect, GI. It is a very good idea to leave a sinking ship. You know you cannot win this war.

Your rich leaders grow richer, while you die in the swamp, GI. They will give you a medal, GI, but only after you are dead.

Your government lies to you, everyday poor soldier. You have lost this war, GI. Your army will leave you behind.

Imperialists make you fight this war, GI. They do not care about you.

GI, your government has betrayed you. They will not return for you, GI, your airplanes bomb your own men. You are not safe here. The skies are dangerous, GI. They will bomb you tonight. Your pilots do not care that you are down here, GI. You cannot dig a foxhole to hide in, GI Joe, your bombers will fire you. Your helicopters will fall from the sky like broken birds. They cannot see you from your airplanes, GI; they come to bomb you.

Go home. If a billion Chinese can't do it in thousand years, how will you do it in ten?
